The most important principle of this diet is the macronutrient split, divided into 43% protein, 22.5% fat and 34.5% carbohydrates. I make a special tomato sauce that I use sparingly on everything and it didn’t seem to make a difference at all in the effectiveness of the weight loss. Just take a can of plain tomato sauce with nothing else in it at all, add some powdered ginger, black pepper, apple cider vinegar and no cal sweetener.
