Just make your goal realistic.
With weight loss you should make a big goal, getting to your ideal weight. Also make smaller goals to help keep you motivated along the way. Your small goals do not always have to be in terms of weight lost. You could use clothing size or body fat percentage for your smaller goals. Just make your goal realistic. For instance, if you need to lose 50 pounds, don’t expect to do this in just a few months.

You can inspire one another to stay accountable to your exercise regime. If you go off track (which will happen from time to time), this person can motivate you to get back on your program. When it comes to losing weight, accountability is huge. A recent study conducted at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine proved that exercising with a partner improves weight-loss results. It's not always easy to discipline yourself, but when you’ve got someone in your corner, cheering you on, my experience has been that you feel more empowered to keep going.

For slow-release energy, eat protein with every meal alongside ‘good carbs’ such as whole grains, vegetables, fruits, and beans.
